Walnut Street Wildcat Newsletter
Wildcat Weekly!
Dear Wildcat Community,
Our iReady midyear testing window opened last week and our students are hard a work assessing their skills in Math and Language Arts. We use this academic data to see progress from the beginning of the year to now. This is just one of many markers we use to gauge student growth. As a school, we use this data to manage next steps for our students in these areas. iReady assessments will conclude and we will dive into the data together to review growth, areas for improvement, and next steps.
Attendance winners were selected randomly this week! Our positive gains continue! As a team, we are seeing great growth in all grade levels...please continue to reinforce at home that every moment and every day counts!
We continued our character education push this week. Mrs. Norcross got into many of our classrooms to discuss positive behavioral traits and continuing our expectations related to having a safe, responsible, and respectful school.
Our incredible Kindness Club is helping in this area as well! They are hard at work creating positive signs and coming up with ideas to promote kindness and understanding at our school. They are also running a donation drive for the Friends of Northern Ocean County Animal Facility. Please see the flier below and consider donating!
Our grade levels were amazed by a great assembly this week. Lead U delivered a high energy assembly to our students that continued our vision of further developing our safe, responsible, and respectful students. The presenters focused on decision making, kindness, and overall positive citizenship.
