We will also discuss : setting and characters in stories
MONDAY

Opening discussion : What are ways we can stay ACTIVE to keep ourselves healthy?
What is a HABIT?
Discuss: What do we do that keeps our bodies strong?
VOCABULARY : active , challenge, change, exercise, fit, passive, persistence, determination
change, code, pattern, program, repeat
shared writing: "What are ways we exercise our bodies?"

Watch video or read-aloud about exercising our bodies.
Students will be divided into groups and assigned a COLOR for their center . They will have the remainder of the classtime to explore the stations in the centers below:
Green: Pet exploration, Dramatic play (home, grocery store)
Blue: fine motor manipulatives, sorting, letter knowledge, playdough letter match
Red: Fall Science table w/magnifying glasses, etc. , Fall sensory tub, ball flume
Yellow: Hatch interactive table, Hatch math games, writing station, puzzle, Shapes and light table construction

Today we will practice the healthy habit of exercise!
Finally, we will rotate through our 3 PE stations.
1. tumbling and hopscotch
2. puzzles, ball area, rug activity
3. trikes, climbing, rug game

Today we will be learning all about pumpkins ! We will explore what is inside a pumpkin as well as practice making a jack-o-lantern ! We will taste some foods made from PUMPKINS !
Let's explore,taste, and feel some real pumpkins !

SPOOKY STORY IN THE LIBRARY !
Let's have some Halloween Fun today. We will listen to a funny story about a ghost, then have a read aloud about Halloween !
Let's go to our reading stations for some quiet reading time and then checkout our library books for this week.
