Weekly Family Update

The city of Geneva will be doing some road repairs to Elmwood Ave May 13 - May 17. We still have access to our parking lots even though the road close signs will be up. High Street will be unaffected by this work.

This coming week is very busy for many of our classes as they will be going on field trips.

• 2nd and 3rd graders will be going to Sacred Heart Cathedral for the annual diocesan May Crowning Mass. Students need to be in dress uniform for this event as we are representing the school.
• 7th and 8th graders will be headed to Philadelphia for their class trip on Thursday and Friday. We wish them safe travels.
• 6th graders will be going to lunch at Los Amigos restaurant as part of their Spanish class on Thursday.
• 4th, 5th, and 6th graders will be headed to the Genesee Country Museum on Friday.

Be sure to call your home public district to inform them you have been registered at St. Francis - St. Stephen School. They need to hear from the parents that you are registered with us.

We have been seeing an escalation in behaviors stemming from things students are seeing on YouTube or the internet. Particularly, our younger students (PreK and Kindergarten) are referring to something called Skibidi Toilet. Students have been acting out scenes or repeating phrases mentioned in this video series.

Is Skibidi Toilet appropriate for children? Skibidi Toilet's unsettling animation style, dystopian setting, and depictions of war and violence may be disturbing for some children (and adults).

As a school, we advise parents to check device history and to closely monitor children use of the internet.
