Good afternoon Mustang Families, Friends, Faculty and Students!
Open House is Thursday, September 26. We are excited to share our new learning space and meet you. In order to support families and share the space with everyone, as we expect to have many visitors, we will be hosting grade levels and programs at specific times. This means there will be no late sessions for the grade levels. Parking is at a premium, so we are hoping that we are able to alleviate the traffic and support your time with your team!
Notes for the Parents
A friendly reminder that items that are dropped off are only delivered during the students' lunch or at the end of the day. We are working to teach the students responsibility, and we need your cooperation - please have them check their bags for their items before they get to school. We do not interrupt class to delivery items. Dropping items off for immediate gratification enables behavior as well, so we ask that if it's not necessary - leave it be. A day without the Chromebook is not the end of the world.
Students can not request a dismissal. If they are not feeling well, they need to report to the nurse. We track student illness, and we help parents communicate about what we see and here - so it's important you and the student follow the protocols so we can support your community!
We also informed the students (especially the seventh grade) they are very close to losing their lunch cell phone privileges. Students have been using them for purposes other than checking in. Again, we're trying to build trust and responsibility, so we are hoping you can reiterate that the only things we use our phones for at school are checking in with family if needed - no TikTok, Snapchat, or other filming purposes.
A reminder from the Food Service Department:
Families who have NOT submitted an F/R lunch for this year, please note that temporary eligibilities will be expiring on October 5th. Apply today online though https://www.myschoolapps.com/ or by paper application (please reach out to your school) to help avoid getting charged at full price.

Student Updates and Information
Our first information meeting for the McCarthy Players, MMS drama club, is on October 1 at 3:00-3:30 in the cafetorium.
There is a Student Council informational meeting in D217 on Tuesday during advisory.
