The FAFSA is now OPEN!
The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) opens on October 1st! It is required to be filled out by anyone who aims to enroll in a college of any kind after graduation. We will be hosting a FAFSA night on October 26th at 6 pm! It will be split into two sessions: from 6-6:30 pm we will be in the auditorium for a FAFSA information session presented by a colleague from Germanna community college. Then at 6:30, we will relocate to classroom B05 (computer lab) for a FAFSA Completion Workshop where you can work on the application and receive 1 on 1 help from us. If there is sufficient interest, we will host a second FAFSA Completion Workshop on a different TBD date in order to accommodate those who may not be able to attend on October 26th or need additional help. Mrs. Hummer and Ms. Shortridge are also available to assist you during school hours, just send us an email to schedule a meeting! Please fill out this google form to help us help you in submitting the FAFSA.
You will need to bring certain documents/have access to certain information in order to successfully fill out the FAFSA, whether you choose to complete it with us on FAFSA night or do it on your own. This link will bring you to an FSA web page that lists the required materials and gives you a link to a sample FAFSA application, just so you are prepared for when it opens!
