Happy Friday BWE,

And what a Friday it has been! We got quite a bit of rain today, but it did not dampen our celebration. Our first Grandparents' Day Lunch was super sweet! It was so heart warming to see the smiles on our grandparents' and students' faces. We're already thinking of ways to make next year bigger and better! Thanks to our PTO for the cute backdrops to help capture the moment. Tag us in your Facebook posts, so we can share on our page and commemorate the moment with you.

We are excited to welcome several new student clubs to BWE this year! We're so very thankful to our club sponsors for volunteering their time to provide these opportunities for our bulldogs and look forward to a fabulous first year for each of these groups.

• Cell phones and smartwatches may be used respectfully and responsibly before school and after school.

• Cell phones and smartwatches should not be used to capture video, audio, or images at school or on the bus.

• Cell phones and smartwatches should be set on silent mode and kept in backpacks, lockers, or other designated storage areas and should not be visible during school hours including instructional time, reward time, free time, lunch, and in the hallways.

• Use of cell phones and smartwatches may be permitted in extenuating circumstances with permission from a staff member. (ex. to notify parent/ guardian of a late bus)

Students arriving after 7:55 a.m. are marked tardy. Early check-out ends @ 2:30 p.m.

All transportation changes should be emailed to birnhamwoods@conroeisd.net.

Changes must be received by 2 p.m.

Birthdays are the best days and we love to celebrate at BWE! We do not however, host birthday parties at school. Parents may send gift bags of inedible items (pencils, bubbles, party favors) for students to share with their class. Edible items may be sent, inedible items are preferred. Due to allergies and dietary restrictions, edible items MUST be store bought with a legible nutrition label.

Below are our district's excessive heat guidelines, that govern our participation in outdoor activities, during high temperatures.
