Share your feedback in the Annual District Parent Survey
Gathering feedback from our parents is vitally important in the Olathe Public Schools. We have a variety of ways our families can provide input at the district level and the Annual Parent Survey is an important piece. Please take a moment to fill out this district survey. It is our district’s hope to annually reach out to parents to gain feedback to help drive decision-making.
The survey will be open until Thursday, April 17 at 5 p.m. Thank you for your time and feedback.
4th Annual Olathe Culture Fest
Our 4th Annual Olathe Culture Fest will be on Friday May 9th from 5pm to 8pm at the Johnson County Square in Downtown Olathe. Culture Fest will be an exciting festival with live performers, music, food trucks and a car show. Each building will receive 10 Culture Fest posters (five posters in English and five in Spanish). Please post all posters in visible areas throughout your school and promote Culture Fest with all students, staff and parents. We want everyone to come out and celebrate our beautiful Olathe culture and community. Culture Fest is an annual collaboration between the City of Olathe, Department of Student & Community Engagement, Department of Culture & Belonging, Olathe Police and the Olathe Public Schools Foundation. Please reach out to Kathleen Smith, Director of Culture & Belonging with any questions
Athletic Signing
If you plan to sign with a college for athletics, please see Mrs. Gonzales in the front office. The athletic signing celebration will be held May 1 during advisory.
ACT Boot Camp
Summer 2025
This summer from June 9-12 and July 7-10 there will be ACT camps offered at Olathe South High School from 8 a.m. to noon. Each day students will spend time practicing and learning strategies for each section of the ACT under the direction of certified teachers in Language Arts and Math.
Students will get immediate feedback and individualized instruction as well as have the opportunity to focus on individual areas of weakness.
Especially if students are signed up to take the June 14th or July 12th ACT, this would be an excellent chance to review and improve in the days before the test.
The cost for the camp is $175, and you can register at the following link:

If you have any questions, please contact John Hail (jhailos@olatheschools.org) or Marc Gibbens (mdgibbensos@olatheschools.org).
