PJP Christmas Updates

It has been a wonderful first term here at PJP. A big thank you to all of the staff for their hard work. December has been a busy month with our PJP Christmas Cracker, carol services and our St Vincent de Paul Christmas Hamper. With the holidays close at hand I hope that everyone can relax and recharge their batteries for what is bound to be a busy year!

I would like to take the opportunity to wish everyone in our school community a very happy and peaceful Christmas.

I look forward to welcoming everyone back on the 8th January.

We had a very special visitor to PJP this morning! Santa arrived to see all the different classes as he know just how good the boys and girls are! He was so happy to see everyone and is looking forward to the big night!

A big thank you to our wonderful Parents Association for arranging this mornings Jingle Parade! It was wonderful to see so many of our students walking with Santa, Elfie , parents and of course the local Gardaí. Thanks to all for making it possible!

A sincere thank to everyone for helping us to create over 30 hampers which were delivered on Wednesday to very grateful recipients. Ms. Bradshaw's sixth class took the lead and coordinated all of the hamper collections. On Wednesday they collected all of the different hampers and loaded them into the volunteers cars. Some staff members and SVP volunteers then drove them to the families.

Well done to the boys and girls in second and third classes on two wonderful Christmas Shows! The children were fantastic - a good deal better than Ms. Markey's jokes! We raised over €3000 which we will be using to buy some new musical instruments! Thanks to the parents for the support on the night and especially for buying the raffle tickets!
