Blue Jay Flyer

From the Principal's Desk...
Parents and Guardians,
A huge shout out to our 4th and 5th grade students who did a fantastic job at their Christmas concert last night. It was a wonderful way to get into the Holiday Spirit leading into our last 2 days of school. Thank you to Mrs. Ossenschmidt for spending so much time working with these students so that they could learn the music and choreography of all the songs. Now, I can’t wait for the Kindergarten Pageant on Friday! Mrs. Osborn and Mrs. Unkrich have put a lot of work in to changing the pageant this year. I can’t wait to see all the Kindergarten students dressed up in their costumes.
Since this is the last Blue Jay Flyer before Christmas, I would like to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I truly hope that everyone is able to relax and enjoy some family time over the break. I know the holiday season is hectic and stressful for many, so I hope that you are able to take some time for yourself and your family.
Sincerely,
Courtney Weinheimer

Because eggshells have similar properties to tooth enamel, the 4th grade used hard boiled eggs to look at the effect that sugary drinks have on their teeth; They found that after three days in Pepsi the eggshells were colored brown, and were very thin and easy to break. After three days in orange juice the eggshells had a rough, pitted shell, with a "gunky" buildup.
