A Bear COMMUNITYcation!
BASD receives countless requests from outside organizations to share information about upcoming events, fundraisers, extracurricular activities, contests, and more. Traditionally, these requests have been honored by posting them to our online Community Bulletin Board and/or by sending a paper flyer home with our elementary students only.
We have seen an increase in requests to include flyers and such communications in our weekly (Week in Review, etc.) and biweekly newsletters (Let's Talk Tuesdays, etc.). As a district, we believe that these established communications serve a district-specific purpose and do not wish to begin extending the content beyond those boundaries.
While BASD does not sponsor nor endorse any outside organizations, fundraisers, activities, events, or other information contained in such communications, we do recognize the need for these organizations to "reach the masses" in the most efficient and affordable means possible.
This electronic newsletter periodically delivers our online Community Bulletin Board directly to district families via our IC messaging service and to our community via social media and other media platforms.
Families are kept "in the know" beyond district happenings. Families have access to extracurricular opportunities and to potential volunteer opportunities for their child(ren) for their service organizations and the 10th Grade Service Learning Project. Everyone can delete the message without accessing the newsletter or skip over events of no interest. Outside organizations extend their reach. Win. Win! WIN!

The internationally known Panto Company presents an age-old tale of greed about a young girl who is said to spin straw into gold, the greedy king who locks her up until she does, and the strange magical little man Rumpelstiltskin who appears and promises to spin the straw in return for her jewelry. The journey continues through many adventures, twists, and turns that make this unforgettable story so exciting. This classic tale comes to the stage filled with song and audience participation, along with fabulous sets and costumes!
