Midpoint Check
The middle of 83 is 41.5... This email went out to you at noon in the middle of your summer break. For some of us that might make you feel a bit nauseous... Where did those 41 days go so fast? For another chunk of us that might be sweet relief, there exist another 41 days left to enjoy. I think both are true for me.
Worst case scenario: You just popped open your email and clicked the link to this Roundtable with two or three days left... Ha, sucker!
Staffing You Should Know
Leaving the school year we were in better shape than we have been in the past two years. We only have one aide position to figure out, and we are staffed up with teachers!
- A formal announcement was not made for Katie Henrichs, who accepted our kindergarten position. Please help me in welcoming Katie into this new role.
- Jeanne Heilman, Night Building Service Technician replacing Heath Barkley, joined our team officially on June 17th. Jeanne comes to us from North Middle School. Welcome, Jeanne!
- Carrie Lane will be moving positions and working with Ms. Schindler and students that have behavior and adaptive goals. Welcome to Carrie and her new role!
- Amanda Ryba will be joining our coaching team, working with Mrs. Theisen and Mrs. Washburn in preschool. Welcome, Amanda!
Other Stuff You Should Know
- I won't bore you with too much information, and none of it is urgent in the middle of summer; however, you probably noticed the master schedule, specials schedule, and a few other tabs attached as an excel spreadsheet to the email you used to access this roundtable. If not, go back to your email and check it out if you are so inclined.
- Your section rosters are also created for you. As I have mentioned before and will continue to mention, Unity is HIGHLY fluid throughout the summer, so expect these rosters to change with new students as they come in.
- I'm available by email, phone call, or will be in and out of the office in July and August. If you need to chat don't hesitate. Otherwise, I won't be bugging you until mid-August with a welcome back letter and opening schedule. I sincerely hope you enjoy the remainder of your summer!
