What does it take to migrate a Student Information System?
A LOT!
- Get leadership invested.
- Extensive clean up of all Skyward data throughout all modules: Student Management, Finance, Payroll, and Human Resources.
- Set up Qmlativ training database to receive data and validate that it is coming over correctly.
- Learn the new system so we can support district users.
- Provide hands-on user training.
- Enjoy using the new system!
How can you prepare for the migration?
- Read the Bulletin! This will be your number one place to keep up to date on information.
- Visit the IT page on the FPS website for more information.
- When user trainings are rolled out, make sure to participate! This will be the best way to familiarize yourself with Qmlativ and learn the tasks associated with your district role.
