School Improvement Updates
The SI Team has released the Pennsylvania Continuous Improvement Resource Site
This website serves as a resource for school and district leaders, as well as school improvement facilitators and consultants, as part of Pennsylvania’s System for LEA and School Improvement.
School Improvement Plans (CSI and A-TSI)
Due August 31, 2022 (UPDATED)
It is expected that all schools will have the “Ready” and “Set” sections and the Analyzing and Goal Setting components of the “Go” section completed by June 30th.
Schools have been given two options for submission of School Improvement Plans.
Finish the entirety of the “Go” section, Approvals & Signatures, and Plan Communications, and submit by June 30, 2022. If this option is selected, the Department is committed to reviewing and responding to the School Improvement Plan by August 31, 2022.

Act 13 Information and Summer Training
PEERS and Act 13 - June 7, 9, 10 from 12-1 PM
Act 13 Office hours - July 21, July 28, Aug 4, and Aug 11 from 12-1
*Act 13 Excel rating forms will be removed from SAS this month and PEERS will be the exclusive place for PDE forms.
Act 49 Updates
IUs will deliver training to the schools in three key areas of concentration (CRSE, Professional Ethics, Structured Literacy)
- Fall 2024-2025 new induction programs must be approved and will begin (two year requirement now instead of one year requirement)
- Need to have induction plan updated by this time (must resubmit if working under a previous plan) even if falls outside of your comp planning cycle
Act 158
Students graduating in 2023, 2024, and 2025 the state board of education approved extension of “COVID extenuating circumstances” under Superintendent waiver.
PVAAS
Unfinished Teaching and Learning Reports--will be coming to EVERY district in a PDF format and is based on state assessment (PSSA & Keystone) results. Probably coming out next week.
Will be sent to LEAs in coming weeks via 1:1 email as a PDF to Primary Admin from EdNA

"Unfinished teaching and learning" is really looking at where students were projected to be prior to the pandemic with where they actually are post-pandemic.
