Dear Thunder Eagle Families-

During this month of recognizing Gratitude in our students I wanted to take a minute to thank our LRE families for all they do to make our school community so great! We have had the privilege of meeting with families this week during parent-teacher conferences, and we appreciate each and every one of you for the partnership you provide us in supporting our students. As we move into our short week of school next week, I want to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving-enjoy your holiday time with family and friends!

As you may know, science and STEM have been experiencing a boost in exposure with Next Generation Science Standards and alignment between the overlapping fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. We are very proud in the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District to be hosting a true STEM Fair in which students can choose to enter the following types of projects:

• Science Project (K - 5 packet) and (6-12 packet)

• Engineering / Invention Project (K-2 and 3-5 packet) and (6-12 packet)

• Technology Project (K - 5 packet) and (6 - 12 packet)

• Reverse Engineering Project (K - 12)

One project per student, please! Project registration is due by January 13th, 2023.
