Some important dates to remember:
- February 5th - Last day to apply for graduation

ABA640.801 - Foundations of Applied Behavior Analysis (CRN - 22982)

Course Description: This course will provide students with a complete, accurate, and contemporary view of applied behavior analysis. This course will focus on defining applied behavior analysis, selecting, assessing and evaluating behavior to change, and introducing basic behavior-change procedures. Students will understand the philosophical underpinnings of the field of applied behavior analysis. In addition, students will think critically about these philosophical underpinnings and how they relate to the concepts and principles of applied behavior analysis. Students will gain introductory knowledge of measurement and the application of applied behavior analysis foundations. 3 credit hours

ABA641.801 - Introduction to Single Subject Research Methodology (CRN - 21628)

Course Description: This course provides an overview of behavioral measurement, single subject research designs, and methods of data analysis. This course will define behaviors of measurement and describe methods of measuring those behaviors. Students will think critically about the requirements, advantages, uses, and limitations of both demonstration (withdrawal, reversal, multiple baseline, multiple probe, changing criterion) and comparative (alternating treatments/multi-element, multi-treatment, adapted alternating, parallel treatments) single subject research designs. In addition, students will learn how to describe the characteristics of data, display data graphically using electronic graphing programs, and describe data by its characteristics. Applied Behavior Analysis students only. 3 credit hours

ABA646.801 - Administering Ethical Behavior Analytic Services (CRN - 21629)

Course Description:This course provides a forum for students to discuss challenges to the ethical practice of behavior analysis in applied settings. This course will define terms and concepts that facilitate considerations of ethical service delivery from a behavior analytic perspective. Students will critically analyze a number of assumptions (as well as, other important variables) that influence our ability to design effective and ethical behavior intervention plans for our clients. Students will also consider models for service delivery and barriers to effective program implementation ( as well as, strategies to remove these barriers). In addition, students will consider practical constraints encountered by most behavior analysts and will consider ways to protect our field from incompetence and defamation. These can include adverse childhood experiences, trauma, and mental illness. Candidates will also develop enhanced understandings of social-emotional learning while learning to comply with state and federal statutes governing ethical practice for responding to students’ social and emotional needs. 3 credit hours

Course Description: Restorative Practices describe a range of practical approaches educators can take to challenge students to take ownership of their own behavior and create more equitable school communities. Join Dr. Peter Fernandez, a certified Restorative Practices Trainer, for this workshop-style course. Meetings will occur via zoom during an abbreviated 7-week session. Course Description: Candidates will investigate the economic, historical, political and sociological factors that contribute to the current state of American school systems. This investigation will begin with broad national trends including school re-segregation and social stratification, school choice, privatization, and teacher evaluation. Candidates will then explore the effects of those national trends on the urban education systems in which they live and work. Candidates will be challenged to identify opportunities to affect change by participating in the policy dialog surrounding urban education. 3 credit hours

Candidates will evaluate their personal socioeconomic and cultural experiences and perceptions and evaluate how those experiences and perceptions influence their professional practice. MED620.801 - Synchronous Technology Pedagogies (CRN - 22295)

Course Description: Students will be introduced to both education technology integration theories and pedagogical applications of contemporary education technologies. Theories addressed during this course include the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) Model, the Substitution Augmentation, Modification and Redefinition Model (SAMR), and Technology Self-efficacy Models. Students will apply these theories during explorations of various synchronous and asynchronous pedagogy-enhancing technologies including learning management systems, collaboration tools, and content-presentation systems. (3 credits)

How Do I Register / Pay My Deposit / Defer Tuition Payment?
Prep:
- If you are a newly admitted student, be sure to submit the medical forms in your acceptance packet to the YCP Health Center as soon as possible.
- Identify the CRNs (Course Reference Number) of the course(s) that you wish to register for.
Deposit and Holds:
- Each semester you are required to submit a deposit of $100 before you can register for classes.
- You should check for any holds on your account at least one week prior to registration so they can be resolved in a timely fashion. Holds can include Health Center information, tuition balance, Library fees, etc.
- If you are registering for classes after the due date set by the Business Office, payment in full is expected on that day - Tuition deferment is unavailable after that date.
Registration:
- Go to MyYCP and sign into the York College portal. Click on YCPWeb. Click on Student Services, then Registration, Add/Drop Classes, Select a Term and then enter your CRNs in the spaces available at the bottom of the page.
- If you need to drop a class, click on the Action box and click Web Drop. Click Submit Changes on the bottom of the page.
- To view your schedule of classes, go to Student Schedule by Day and Time.
Tuition Deferment:
If you would like to postpone payment of your tuition bill until the conclusion of the course, please submit your deferment request AS SOON AS POSSIBLE after registering for your class(es). Please use this link to submit your deferment request. You will need an electronic copy of your employer's reimbursement policy to complete the deferment request.
