THAT WYLIE BUGLE 8/12-8/17
COMPETITION BAND REHEARSALS | NORMAL WEEK
99 PLEDGES MARCHATHON FUNDRAISER BIG PUSH
We started our annual fundraiser on Monday during band camp through a company called 99 Pledges.
As a team we need to make a big push this week. IF WE DON'T RAISE FUNDS ON OUR FUNDRAISER, IT WILL BE ADDED TO FEES IN ORDER TO TRAVEL TO SAN ANTONIO AND FUND OUR BOOSTER BUDGET.
Let's all do our part. We will have a video to add to the page for your supporters to see you in action.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Check your email for your personal page’s link and instructions; emails were sent to the student email and first adult email listed in Presto. Contact Mr. Schroeder at mark.schroeder@wylieisd.net if you didn’t receive an email.
- Update your page with your picture
- Enter cell phone numbers and/or email addresses of anyone you think might donate to you or THAT WYLIE BAND
- Post your personal page’s link or the band link to social media (click on the 99 Pledges icon for the band link) https://app.99pledges.com/fund/twbmarch2024
- SOCIAL MEDIA IS HUGE ON THIS!!!! POST POST POST POST
Last year we raised $65,000. Our goal this year is, $80,000 as a band! That is $275 per student! WE NEED EVERYONE’S PARTICIPATION TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN.
EARLY ROOM SIGN UP- SAN ANTONIO BOA TRIP
Those who have raised at least $100 in the 99 Pledges Fundraiser will be eligible to sign up for rooms and buses for the San Antonio BOA trip. This will begin Monday (8/12) in Mr. Dixon's office. Just show your 99 Pledges page to sign up.

COMMUNICATION TOOLS
Glad everyone is a pro now at the Band App. Just wanted to send a note about communication with directors. Here is a little guide to help us.
WHEN TO USE THE BAND APP
- Posting positive or informative information
- Send messages to members regarding band
WHEN TO USE EMAIL
- Directors prefer email to anything that has a question or needs an answer. Sometimes in the Band App if we read something that we cannot address at the moment, it gets lost within other messages. We can mark email as unread until we can find time to answer.
Thanks for using these little communication tools. This helps us help you better, and better is good.
