Rays Update
August 30, 2024
Message from the Principal: Traffic Safety Changes
Rays,
After communicating with the church across from Reagan on Park St, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, we have been asked to communicate the following changes to parking and pedestrian traffic effective September 3, 2024.
The church has requested parents not to use their parking lot for arrival, dismissal, and campus events, due to construction. Parking will soon be further limited and there are concerns about the safety of the community in the construction area. The church has brought to our attention that the sidewalk along Park St., in front of their facilities, will be removed within the next few weeks. Due to this information, we are changing our walker/biker pattern. Please communicate the information below to your student(s):
- All walkers/bikers who cross Park St and head east toward the church will now stay on the south side of Park St., near Reagan, and cross at the Gupton light.
- Mrs. Sorrels will continue crossing students at the Gupton light.
- Staff will cross students at the bus/day car entrance to Reagan (near the playground/fields).
- Here is a video we will be showing our students on Monday to help with the traffic flow.
With limited campus parking and no church parking, we are working with the district to open the west side of Gupton Stadium for campus events such as Grandparents Day lunch, Thanksgiving lunch, and winter parties. We ask that any changes in transportation due to this information be updated in SDM by Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
We hope you all have a great three-day weekend,
Alison Pennington
Principal

Reagan is excited to welcome all Grandparents to Grandparents Day Lunch!
Grandparents are invited to come and share lunch with their Rays on Monday September 9th, 2024
RSVPs help us organize for large campus events during the school day and help check in lots of people quickly and safely. Leander ISD Safety Guidelines require Raptor Safe Check in for all visitors.
Please RSVP for each grandparent attending. All visitors must bring their license to check in. If their license is already scanned into the system, then we will pre-print their visitor badge and they can move through the Fast Pass Lane. Grandparents are welcome to come to the front office during business hours, starting August 26, 2024 to scan in their licenses to help expedite the check-in process the day of Grandparents Lunch.
If you do not have your license pre-scanned into the system you will have to wait in the line to have your license scanned into the system. PLEASE DO NOT FORGET YOUR LICENSE!
PLEASE complete 1 RSVP Per Person Visiting
Please note: Recess is closed to visitors. Once you check in, you can leave and return with the same visitor badge for this school day only if attending another lunch period.

Reagan Math Pentathlon Club
The legendary Reagan Math Pentathlon Club is getting ready for our 2024-2025 season! BUT, first we need a few fantastic assistant coaches and parent helpers before we can carry on with a successful Math P year. Starting October, we will meet between 2:40pm-4pm every Tuesday on school days. An assistant coach will learn the 5 games and support the coaches. Each club meet needs 4-6 parent helpers to support the students and help keep them on task (No need to attend all the meets, but committing to 5 or 6 meets throughout the year would be great). This is an awesome way to get involved in the community and it's truly satisfying to help these amazing kiddos grow throughout the season.
