Weekly Scout Report ~ Sept. 5, 2024

We will have our Fundraiser kick off assembly next Monday, Sept. 9th. Please check your child's backpack for their fundraiser information.

Nike PTO will hold their first meeting this coming Wed., Sept. 11th! Mark your calendars. We will meet in the Nike library at 6 p.m.

We will host a Patriots Day celebration on Friday, Sept. 13th. If you have a Nike family member who is in law enforcement, fire or EMS and would like to participate in the event, please contact the Nike office at 636-271-1444.

Welcome, September!

A new month means a new School-Wide Assembly. On Tuesday, Nike Scouts were congratulated for different Class Awards! Such awards pertained to: Best Attendance, Cleanest Classroom, Best Manners, etc. Ask your student if their class was one of the award winners!

Dr. Tollison, along with her 4th grade leaders, introduced the Core Value of Respect. Students shared ideas with Dr. Tollison on what it means to be respectful at school.

Fall Mum's Fundraiser

We've partnered with a local farmer from Countryside Farm & Market in Cuba, Missouri who is providing us with gorgeous 9 inch mums that will display an 18-24 inch spread.

Simply select your favorite colored chrysanthemums and add them to your cart. Pay online via card, or bring your cash/check on pick up day. Orders will need to be placed by September 20, 2024 at noon. All plants will need to be picked up from Nike Elementary on September 25, 2024. Specific details on pick up time will be communicated.

Do you know someone 50+ who would be interested in helping a child learn to love reading and learning? Oasis Intergenerational Tutoring pairs volunteers ages 50+ with children in grades K-3 to work one-on-one each week as their tutors, mentors and friends. They can tutor one child or several, on a one-on-one basis each week throughout the school year.
