Attendance Matters
A strong start to the new year means prioritizing regular attendance! Every school day counts, and being present in class is crucial for learning and success. Did you know that students who attend school regularly are more likely to graduate on time? Let's work together to make every day a learning day. Please ensure your child arrives at school on time and attends every day possible.

High School Visits
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this message finds you well. I want to take a moment to share some important information regarding the upcoming field trips for our 8th-grade students to Taft and Brennan High Schools.
The field trips are scheduled as follows:
- Brennan High School: January 9th, 2024
- Taft High School: January 31st, 2024
Students will only attend the field trip for the high school they are zoned for. If your student is not currently zoned for either high school, they will not join the tour of the other school. We will ensure that students return to Briscoe Middle School by 8th-grade lunch on both days.
If you do not wish for your student to participate in the field trip to their zoned high school, please fill out this form no later than January 3rd, 2025: Field Trip Opt-Out Form.
Additionally, for students not zoned for Brennan or Taft High School, our counselors will meet individually with them to assist in selecting their high school courses.
Thank you for your support and cooperation. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the Briscoe Counselors.
Thank you,
Briscoe Counseling Department
