Mike's Beginning of the Semester Email to OAA Advisors
For those of you that missed Mike's email last week, I've attached a copy to the Digest, today. In addition to the SAGE instructions he has this to say about surveys/assessment and Zoom.
- Zoom Links: There was a suggestion yesterday to just have one Zoom meeting per day that you send out to all the students you’ll meet with that day. Assuming you have the Waiting Room feature on, that’s probably the easiest way to go about things. I would suggest saving your Personal Meeting ID room for your walk-ins.
- Advisor Survey: We will be sending out a student survey this semester, but that will be handled centrally so you don’t have to do anything. Figured you should probably know so you can mention it to students if you’d like.
- Student Survey: I used this survey (https://ugeorgia.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/preview/SV_bQICjc0NYeFNHmt?Q_SurveyVersionID=current&Q_CHL=preview) with my students in Spring and it helped them prepare for the appointments a little better. If you’d like to adopt it for your own use, let me know and I’ll share it with you. (Note that it mentions email advising – this should be used sparingly if at all.)
