A Message from Dr. Gough
Dear WPS Community,
This week marked Teacher Appreciation Week. Dr. Hahn and I are grateful for the incredible work of our educators who have dedicated their lives to helping students learn and grow. Please join us as we extend our thanks for their commitment to our students and families.
With a flurry of events and end-of-the-year activities, I am continually inspired by the collective momentum driving WPS forward in these final five weeks of the 2023-2024 school year. Next week holds a special milestone as our Seniors will receive their caps and gowns for the traditional Senior Walk at the Elementary Schools. On Sunday, June 4th, we will come together to celebrate our 150th commencement ceremony, honoring the WHS graduating senior class of 2024.
Let us celebrate these upcoming events with enthusiasm and appreciation for the achievements and hard work of our students and staff alike. Together, let's make these concluding weeks of the school year truly memorable.
Bridget A. Gough, Ed.D.

WPS School Climate Survey
In early May, families will receive an email inviting them to participate in the WPS district-wide Family School Climate Survey. The purpose of the survey is to learn more about you and your child’s experiences in our schools. We have partnered with K12 Insight to administer the survey, compile the results, and analyze feedback. Walpole Public Schools values your feedback, and we appreciate your ongoing contribution as we strive to cultivate an optimal learning environment for our students.
WHS Student Superintendent Cabinet
This week marked the last meeting of our WHS Superintendent Student Cabinet. Thank you to the Cabinet members for their dedication and collaborative efforts throughout the year. Their perspectives and insights were invaluable, and I have no doubt that their contributions will continue to shape and enrich the educational experiences of their fellow students.

Memorial Day
Finally, the last weekend in May provides us with an opportunity and much needed time to get together with family and friends. As many of us look to this weekend as the unofficial kick off to the summer, it is also a time to pause and honor military personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. I am proud to be part of a military family. My grandfather, Marine Corps Sgt. Major, fought in WWI, WWII, and the Korean War, my uncle, Navy Veteran, fought in Vietnam, and my father was a Navy Corpsman. Fortunately, they all made it home after the completion of their service. I continue to visit those family members at Arlington National Cemetery and Bourne National Cemetery and to pay my respects to those who never made it home. On Monday, May 27th, please take the time to salute our fallen and honor our heroes.
