LEAVE IT BETTER THAN YOU SEE IT
WEEK 35
What a week!! Here we are in the final regular week of school before final exams and we have so many great end of the year things going on. I love this time of year when we get to celebrate all of the accomplishments that our students have been able to complete this year. We have held our Senior Award, our PLTW White Coat Ceremony, and Ivy Tech Graduation all this week!. We also had our FFA Banquet and are set for Band Awards next week. We have incredible students and an amazing staff here at RCHS and it is an honor to sit in the seat that I sit in! Please take a moment to watch the Senior video that I have attached to the end of this week's update. One more time I get to say IT'S ALMOST MONDAY!!
LEAVE IT BETTER THAN YOU SEE IT
GREATNESS FROM STAFF AND STUDENTS
Speech and Debate Team
Rushville Consolidated High School has earned charter status in the National Speech & Debate Association. Charter status is the highest honor for high schools in the NSDA. The award is based on team participation. We analyze your team's points earned via competition and service compared to your overall school enrollment and recognize the schools who have demonstrated a strong commitment to speech and debate activities. Congratulations Hannah Lemmons and our Speech and Debate Team.
IVY TECH GRADUATION
Last Saturday we had several students walk across the stage at the Ivy Tech Graduation. We had 25 students this year graduate with the ICC and many others receiving a certification in Ag or from a program at WCC. It is amazing to watch our kids walk across as a college graduate before they even walk across our graduation stage. Congratulations to all of these students!!
FFA Banquet
Another AMAZING FFA banquet took place last weekend. Thank you for the excellent supper and the show was great as usual. Thank you to the officers who made this all happen and I would like to give a huge SHOUT OUT to Ms. DeLey and Ms. Yager. Two brand new advisors that have never stopped working for the kids. Rushville FFA is held in high regards in the state and in the country. I can tell you that it is in great hands with these two incredible leaders!!
UNIFIED TRACK
This past week we hosted a home Unified Track Meet against Franklin County. What an incredible night watching our kids compete in these events. With the right guidance and the right leadership all kids can do anything they want!!
Senior Awards Day
What an incredible day it was on Thursday. We were able to honor and celebrate so many students for their accomplishments over the past 4 years. It is always great to see how giving this community is and the amount of scholarships that are awarded to RCHS Graduates. Thank you to our Guidance Department for putting on this ceremony and thanks to Student Council, Amy Fox, and Sam Pavey for the roles you all played in this day.
White Coat Ceremony
We held the second annual White Coat Ceremony for our PLTW BioMed students. The students who have completed the BioMed pathway received their White Coats for all of the work they have put into this program. Kids also displayed their final projects and where able to talk to attendees about their projects. It is always fun to watch RCHS students have the opportunity to show off their successes.

GREATNESS FROM THE CLASSROOM
ENGLISH 10
Mrs. Tague and Mrs. Tillison have had their English 10 students working on careers. They have learned so many things from this process and they all got the chance to present at a class career fair. It was remarkable to see these kids show off what they have learned!!
ART
This week our Senior Art students have been displaying their work in display cases around school and on the Senior Circle. What a great display of talent by these kids!!
Freshman English
Mrs. Tillison had her students complete a Romeo and Juliet project at the end of this unit. A lot of the kids chose set design and the creativity was amazing!!
