Important Information
Greetings BES families,
Thank you to all who attended our Arctic Adventure Wonderland for PreK 4. What a wonderful, hands on science endeavor. We were all so impressed by the children's knowledge of the arctic, and they were so excited! Special thanks to our PreK 4 staff for their efforts!
The Student of the Month Breakfast was held last Thursday, March 21st, and we were delighted to see so many families in attendance. Most importantly, we commend our students who are role models for their peers and exemplify our school pledge. Our awardees are pictured above. Each month students who excel and/or show improvement are nominated and recognized, so there is still time to work towards this award!
As a reminder, there is no school on Friday, March 29th this week 🐰
Career and College Planning start early at Bethlehem Elementary School, where students are never too young to learn about and explore different careers. Mrs. Sizer and Mrs. Kelleher are working together again this year to provide this experience for our students. Students in all grades will participate in career and college lessons during their library media classes. Our 5th graders are taking a deeper dive into career exploration and have completed career surveys. They are using this information to identify, research, and create presentations on a career that they are interested in for their future. All of this work will culminate in a school-wide Career & College Week April 8th through the 12th. The week will include spirit dress up days, Careers on Wheels for our PreK-2nd graders, Career Day Speakers for 3rd-5th graders, and an opportunity for 5th graders to present their projects to students and families. Be sure to ask your child about what they’re learning in library media class and what careers they may be interested in for their future!
Garden Club is back this year and willl be held on Thursday afternoons begininng April 11th. Permission slips were sent home for students in grades 3-5 🌼
The BES Talent Show will be on April 4, 2024! Students in grades 2-5 have auditioned and we are happy to report we are loaded with talent and all received a "golden ticket" to the BES Talent Show!
When EdAdvance opens up their registration for afterschool care for next year, they will also be offering before school care. The before school care will run from 7:00 to 8:15 AM. For those who live in Bethlehem or attend BES, there will be a bus that will transport students from MES to BES. Please look for the flyers that EdAdvance will be sending out soon.
