Lansing Elementary Weekly Update

Dear Families,

We had a great beginning of 4th quarter! We are excited about our first grade musical. This year we will perform "The Mice from Outer Space". We look forward to seeing you there!

As a reminder, our communication department shared that we have used our allotted snow days and for the rest of the school year we will only have LATE STARTS on April 3, and May 8. School will start at 9:30 tomorrow.

Our Kindergarten Round Up Flyer is included below. Please scan the QR code and enter your information to receive updates on Kindergarten Round-up. Kindergarten Round Up is our first opportunity for our students and families who are starting Kindergarten in the fall to prepare for school!

As a reminder, our Site Council is facilitating a contest for completion of our Family Engagement Survey. Please use this link: Family Engagement Survey to select the teacher(s) of your students, then click the part B link to complete our survey. The class with the highest percent completion will receive a pizza party!

April 17 - Perk up with the PTA - in place of our normal meeting we will be having an event at Ten & Two Coffee - come check out what all the PTA has to offer and ways you can help in a no pressure come and go event. Door prizes will be given out and the class with the most participation will get an ice cream party! (see flyer for more details)

Yearbooks are currently on sale! They are $20 until May 3rd and then will be $25 - go to www.yearbooksforever.com and type in Lansing to purchase online or turn in the order form to the office.

Please plan to drop off students after 8:00 am (M-W & F) and 9:00 am on Late Start Thursdays. If you utilize Y-Care, please sign students in with them EACH day.

Please follow the traffic pattern and remain in your vehicle (unless buckling/unbuckling) during pick up and drop off. Please position car seats so students are exiting curb side. If you need assistance, please call the office at 913-727-1128. If dropping off after 8:30, please sign in students in the office. If you need to pick up early, please call ahead & have your ID ready.
