Counselor's Corner
October 2020
October is Bully Prevention and Awareness Month
I'm not sure there's a more important time to be kind. So many people are facing tough situations that we may never know anything about. It costs nothing to be kind. Please take time to have a conversation with your student about how to use their voice responsibly and respectfully. When they get home from school, ask them how they were kind during the day. It is also important we use the word bullying correctly. Here is a good article to explain being mean vs. bullying with additional resources if needed. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/teen-angst/201211/mean-vs-bullying
