By: Christina Wawrzyniak
June 22 - June 28
🎉 What a Fantastic Year, Arcadia Families! 🎉
As the school year winds down, we want to extend a huge THANK YOU for your incredible dedication and support! It's been a year filled with wonderful celebrations and lasting memories for our students and families. We truly appreciate your partnership in making Arcadia High School such a special place.
Important Reminders for a Smooth Summer Transition:
-
Final Call for Course Requests!
- 💻 Please log into the Parent Portal and verify your Titan's course requests. This is your last week to make any changes, so don't delay!
-
Summer School & Regents Results
- Teachers are working hard to score exams, and once BOCES verifies and scales them, scores will be posted in the Parent Portal for you and your student to access. Our goal for every student is to achieve at least a 65%, ensuring they're on the best path for graduation and future opportunities!
- Grades in the Portal update overnight as scores come in, and final grade adjustments will also update every night, so try to check first thing in the morning. If you have any questions, please contact the classroom teacher via email at firstname.lastname@greececsd.org. Since teachers may be scoring exams throughout the district, email is the best way to reach them.
- ☀️ Summer school registration kicks off the afternoon of June 27th. Our teachers will be reaching out to families regarding any course failures. Remember, if your student passes a Regents exam, many teachers will adjust a failing course grade to a 65%. Once we have all exam grades in and final grades counselors will be in touch to finalize summer school registration

ATTENTION ALL SENIOR FAMILIES
ATTENTION ARCADIA HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR FAMILIES: Don't Miss Out on Financial Aid for Your Titan! Act NOW!
Dear Arcadia High School Senior Families,
GET READY, TITANS! We are SO incredibly excited for our seniors as they embark on their post-high school journeys! As they prepare for college or career school, there's a crucial step that needs your immediate attention: completing the FAFSA or the NYS DREAM Act application, or signing the waiver form!
This isn't just about applying for aid; it's about securing your student's future! New York State Education Law §305(61) now requires ALL senior families to complete one of these forms. This is MANDATORY, and we want to ensure every Arcadia Titan has the opportunity to access the financial assistance they deserve!
Why is this so important?
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Jose Peralta New York State DREAM Act (DREAM Act) are the keys that unlock financial aid to help with college or career school attendance. This aid can come in many forms, including grants, scholarships, work-study programs, and federal student loans – all designed to make higher education more affordable for your student!
Here's what you NEED to do NOW:
-
If your student plans to attend college or career school and needs financial assistance:
- Complete the FAFSA: https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa
- Or, if applicable, complete the Jose Peralta New York State DREAM Act Application: https://www.hesc.ny.gov/dream/
-
IF YOU WILL NOT BE COMPLETING THE FAFSA FORM OR THE DREAM ACT APPLICATION:
- You MUST complete this waiver form. This form confirms that you understand the purpose of the FAFSA and DREAM Act applications and have chosen not to file one at this time.
- Link to the Waiver Form: PLEASE COMPLETE THIS WAIVER FORM. This form is for Senior students only.
THIS IS URGENT! Don't let your Titan miss out on vital financial opportunities. Completing these forms is a direct investment in their future. We are here to support you every step of the way! If you have questions or need assistance, please contact the Arcadia High School Counseling Department.
Let's work together to ensure all our Titans are set up for success!
Sincerely,
The Greece Arcadia High School Administration

Students should be called in for absences or early dismissal as soon as possible.
Students who are absent will be considered as having chronic absenteeism, missing 10% or more of school. This can have a drastic impact on your student’s education.
Research shows that school attendance can predict graduation even better than test scores.
