Swag Sale Afterschool on Friday, Nov. 8
We now have new stock of long-sleeved J.O. Wilson shirts (red, sizes 3T–YXL, $18 each) and hooded sweatshirts (black & gray, sizes YXS–YL, $28 each) available for sale. The PTA will be selling swag after school this Friday, Nov. 8, between 3:30 and 6 p.m. Look for us on the blacktop during regular dismissal and then by the main entrance for aftercare pickup. Accepted forms of payment include cash, credit card, “tap to pay,” Cash App, PayPal, and Zelle.

Your school picture purchase helps support students and staff at J.O. Wilson. A portion of proceeds from picture orders comes back to school, and these funds are used to support student activities.
Registration for DPR Winter Programs Opens this Week (Nov. 6 & 7)
Registration for winter programming is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and DPR will utilize a virtual “waiting room” on both program registration days in order to manage the high demand for programs.
DPR Winter Program registration opens:
Noon on Wednesday, Nov. 6, for aquatics programs ONLY
Noon on Thursday, Nov. 7, for all other winter programs

Join us for A Family Affair, a community health event for the whole family on December 7, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Children’s National THEARC (THEARC West Building), 1801 Mississippi Ave SE, Washington, DC 20020.
Children’s National providers will be on-site to offer:
- Pediatric immunizations
- Adult health screenings
- Health education and vision screenings
- Adult and pediatric dental screenings and oral health education
- Assistance with scheduling well-child appointments

J.O. Wilson Elementary Boys & Girls Indoor Track and Field
Exciting news! Indoor Track and Field practice starts Wednesday, November 6th. This opportunity is open to DCPS 4th and 5th graders. Student-athletes must submit their paperwork to Coach Whylie before attending practices. Practices will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Let’s get ready for a great season ahead!
