The Class of 2025
Over the years, these remarkable students have grown up in the life of the church—participating in Children’s Ministry events like Vacation Bible School, Kids Ways to Praise, Sports Camp, Sunday School, and Music Ministry. They’ve taken part in May Day Play Day, read scripture during worship, and were active in their parents’ Sunday School classes, forming lasting relationships across generations.
As they moved into youth ministry, their impact only grew. They attended retreats like Benchwarmers and Revolution, competed in State Basketball Tournaments, served through Salkehatchie and international mission trips, and gave their time locally at places like Star Gospel Mission and HomeWorks. They volunteered as acolytes and gave back to the children’s programs they once benefited from themselves. They also strengthened bonds with older adults by hosting dinners and building intergenerational friendships.
This year, they brought new energy and vision—restarting the Youth Leadership Council and hosting the first High School Lock-In in years.
As they step into this next chapter of life, we are deeply grateful for all they have done to bless our church family. We look forward to the new ways some of them will continue to serve at John Wesley, but even more exciting is watching them take the faith that was nurtured here and share it with the world—making a lasting difference for the Kingdom of God.

Salkehatchie Summer Service is an amazing opportunity for youth ages 14 and up. Each week during the summer, groups of youth and adult leaders gather in different parts of South Carolina to work on homes. Most youth say that this week is life-changing and has a major impact on their faith.
John Wesley has participated in different camps over the years. You are encouraged to find a few friends and register for a camp that fits your summer schedule. Two of the main camps John Wesley has attended are the Edisto Camp (July 5-12) and the Dalzell Camp (July 19-26).
You must register with Salkehatchie Summer Service online by clicking the button below. Please let us know if your child registers for a camp.
