Bourne High School Weekly Update
This week has been a busy, yet satisfying one celebrating the completion of high school and lead-up to graduation for our seniors. I am so proud of their accomplishments, supportive of their goals and dreams, and excited for their futures. I look forward to my first BHS graduation on Saturday and seeing this group off into the world!
A special thanks goes out to all the parents and guardians who helped make this week special. Your time, effort, creativity, generosity, and hard work helped make a lifetime of memories for our students and it was a really wonderful week for them. So glad the weather cooperated each day! They really had the perfect sendoff to close out their BPS careers!
Best of luck and congratulations, Class of 2024!
Yours in education,
Dr. Maguire

Look forward to seeing you there!

Juniors Paige Meda and Hannah Petrillo represented Bourne High School at the MIAA Girls and Women in Sports Day held at Gillette Stadium last week with Coach Alexander.
Incredible News!
Caden Doherty, John Barmashi and Jaclyn Valencia will be representing Bourne High School at the Rose Bowl Parade next year!
They have been accepted into the New England Honor Band and will be in Pasadena, CA. on January 1, 2025.
Please congratulate them if you see them!
Sophomores Put their Interests to Work with Civic Action Projects
10th grade students prepared their civic action projects for presentation at the Gallery Walk held last week. Project topics ranged from teenage mental health and PSAT Preparedness to water pollution and ocean cleanliness to eliminating antisemitism and decreasing domestic violence. Students were able to choose topics of interest to research and develop an action plan to remedy or impact the issue.
Ms. Center shared of the projects: "I am incredibly proud of each and every one of the 10th graders' Civic Action projects. I am thrilled with the experience of the gallery walk and appreciate all your hard work to get to this point. The students grew immensely through this experience, showcasing their strengths, skills and creativity! Overall, we are proud of the students' hard work and they set the bar high for next year!"
Being able to talk about their projects helped students see their hard work put to use and they were eager to share their findings with students and staff who participated in the Gallery Walk.
