Launch and Media Teams head to the URI - Bay Campus
The RV Endeavor is a research vessel owned by the URI Graduate School of Oceanography. We found out they refer to her as The Albatross, because she is the oldest vessel in the research fleet.
Anita meets the RV Endeavor & her crew gets a tour
They learned about the research the RV Endeavor will be conducting from Lynne and Laurie who work for the state of RI and the US Naval Research Laboratory
The crew needed a refresher on the long journey back to our campus
Anita is safely tucked into the wet lab, ready to start her voyage
The RV Endeavor crew plans to leave the Rhode Island coast this weekend. You can use this link https://marineops.gso.uri.edu/EndeavorNow to follow their trip. Once Anita is in the water, we'll be able to track her using our Educational Passages website.
