Throwback Thursday, End of Trimester Celebration!
Hey Crestwood Community!
We had a great week of learning and fun this week. On Halloween Day, while students and staff adorned their costumes, we also celebrated the end of Trimester ONE of the school year! We called it "Throwback Thursday" where 1st - 5th graders traveled back in time to spend 20 minutes with their previous year's classroom teacher! Reconnecting strong relationships formed from last year was a blast to see. Our Kindergarten was lucky enough to spend a few minutes getting to know their future 5th grade teachers on the playground!
We hope you are having a wonderful extended weekend. See you soon, Crestwood!

Sweet Salute!
Dear Crestwood Families,
We’re excited to kick off Crestwood's Sweet Salute on November 6th, 7th, and 8th. This is a wonderful opportunity to share some sweet treats with our local first responders and brave soldiers near and far. đźŤđź‡şđź‡¸
If your family has any extra candy, we invite you to send it in with your student after Halloween. All donations will go to those who protect and serve our community and country, giving them a little taste of our appreciation! đź’•
Thank you for helping us spread kindness and sweetness to our heroes!
*Donations can be dropped off in the main office or with your child's teacher for us to collect for our Troops and First Responders! SEE Promotional Graphic below
Family - Teacher Conferences
Hi Crestwood families!
You are invited to participate in our Fall Family Conferences on November 6 & 7. Conferences will be held in-person. This is a time for you, the classroom teacher, and other support staff to discuss your child's academic growth, social/emotional needs, and other celebrations or needs. We aim for 100% participation from our community and encourage you to work with your child's teacher to schedule a time to reflect on the 1st trimester together.
Crestwood Conference Nights will be held on the following dates:
- Wednesday, November 6 - 4:00 - 7:00
- Thursday, November 7 - 4:00 - 7:00
Crestwood Specials teachers and our Library Media Specialist, Mrs. Mazdra will be in their learning spaces on both evenings if you would like to meet with them. If you cannot meet during the given time frame, feel free to reach out to the block teacher to schedule a separate time.

Crestwood School Nurse Newsletter
As the cooler weather is approaching, please send in appropriate changes of clothes for your child to keep in their backpack or cubby, This is just not for bathroom accidents-many students in all grade levels, need a change of clothes throughout the school day (cafeteria food spills, wet/muddy playground, falls, etc.) and it is helpful if your child has something comfortable to change into. Also, just keeping an extra hoodie in their backpack or cubby as the cool weather comes is a good idea, in case they forget something warm to wear. Thank you.
Covid and Flu Vaccine Information
As the cooler weather approaches, it is time to think about getting a flu and the updated COVID 19 vaccine. Fall, winter and early spring are times when Influenza and COVID 19 can become very active. Please consider getting your child and family members a flu and a COVID vaccine. Both vaccines are recommended for anyone 6 months or older.
