The school gardens are officially planted! Thanks to the wonderful helping hands of our students, plants and seeds are in the soil and growing. All of the school gardens are open to the community. If you live near Buckley, Central Grade, Courtade, or Northport, stop by and enjoy the school garden this summer!
Strawberries at Central Grade and Courtade are beginning to fruit! So don't forget to stop by the garden for a delicious harvest.

May Recap
Buckley
May was busy in Buckley!
They hosted their first annual jog-a-thon fundraiser. It was amazing to see students physically active on the track raising money for their school playground!
In farm to school, the 2nd grade classes hatched and released ladybugs and butterflies. These insects are an excellent addition to the ecosystem, especially the school garden. The rockstar 2nd grade teachers do this each year with their students.
We also completed our final nutrition lessons with 5th grade. They reviewed previous nutrition lessons, completed evaluations, prepped the garden for planting, and enjoyed smoothies.
Courtade
We also prepped, weeded, and planted the school garden. Students had a wonderful time helping in the garden.
Kingsley
Central Grade
We assisted Central Grade with their garden planting day! The 5th grade students worked hard to weed and prepare the garden beds for planting and helped to plant a variety of vegetables and flowers in the garden. Their strawberry plants are thriving!
Creekside
Shoutout to the wonderful teachers and staff at Creekside for pulling off another amazing plant sale this year! They grew a variety of ornamental and edible plants in their greenhouse. Keeping up with a school greenhouse and growing so many high quality seedlings is a challenging feat!
