The Summer Meals Program was instituted to provide nutritious meals to children during the summer months when school is not in session. The program is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and administered by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).

West Elementary School
Location closed June 19, June 30, July 1-3
Breakfast 8:40 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
Lunch 11:30 a.m. - 11:50 a.m.
- All children 18 years old and younger may join us for breakfast and lunch during designated dates and times.
- All food must be consumed on school property.
- Food will be served based on walk-ins.
The Zion Benton Library will be working with the Northern Illinois Food Bank to provide free summer lunches for children 18 and under.

Location closed June 19 / Lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on July 2 and August 6
Lunch 11:10 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
- All children 18 years old and younger may join lunch during designated dates and times.
- No restriction on number of children.
- Meals must be eaten at the library.
ZESD 6 will be hosting (2) Dual Language information events for families!

- Open to all students regardless of insurance status: Students with no insurance are welcome to receive a free vaccine.
