In the National FFA Organization, Proficiency Awards recognize FFA members who have excelled in their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) programs. These awards honor members who, through their SAE, have developed specialized skills applicable to their future careers. They are among the highest individual awards an FFA member can receive.
Ag Teachers are the key component of providing instruction and support for each student.
The AET system is a comprehensive student-centered agricultural education management system used annually by over 600,000 students each school year! AET is designed to help students track their educational experiences (classroom, SAE, and FFA) and document them to help them learn life skills and improve their decision-making. The cost of AET is based on the size of the agricultural education program and the focused use of AET is all student enrolled in the program. Financial support for AET is typically supported by Perkins, state-curricular funds or other school resources, especially as the program is focused on state academic standards, SAE experiences and educational resources.
A core value of AET is students learn to track their experiences, which develops their digital portfolio and allows them to leverage their data to complete state and national award applications.

State FFA Degree Awards
The State FFA Degree is a recognition given by state FFA associations to top members who demonstrate significant achievement and leadership. It is a step in the FFA degree system, requiring members to have received the Chapter FFA Degree, be active for at least two years, and meet other criteria related to SAE, instruction hours, and leadership. It is a higher honor than the Chapter Degree and recognizes a member's commitment to their chapter and state association.
