Dear Parents and Carers
World Educators Day
Today is World Educators Day. We recognise the passion and dedication of each member of our staff in their daily efforts and care in growing, developing and recognising the strengths and gifts in each student. No child goes unnoticed in our school, and I am extremely humbled to lead such a caring community of educators. Thank you so much to our wonderful P&F for providing morning tea for staff to celebrate this special day. We appreciate your recognition of our collective efforts and hard work.
Year 6 Camp
Our Year 6 students have just completed a two-night camp and what a fabulous time they have had. They participated in beach team building activities, flying fox, big swing, many learnt to ride a bike and cooked smores on an open fire. We extend a huge thank you to Mrs Ottobrino and Mrs Henery for organising this outstanding experience and to several staff members who assisted them in facilitating this experience for our children. Without the generous offering of personal time from our staff, this experience would not have been possible. Our students have made memories that will last a lifetime. We thank our amazing staff for their time.
Interschools
We thank Mr King for his ongoing commitment to physical education in our school. Selected students participated in Interschools last Friday with growing confidence and developing skills. We are showing progress each year that we participate at Interschools. We will soon be putting in a long jump pit so that students can regularly practice this athletics skill.
Congratulations
We would like to congratulate one of our students, Amelia from Year 2, who has had an outstanding season playing at Kingsway Olympic, being the only girl in this soccer team. She has represented her team in Sydney and was recognised for her talent, receiving a scholarship for training and sponsorship. Amelia is going on to represent Australia in Japan and Spain next year.
Mass
We thank our Year 2W students for leading Mass today, participating in the Liturgy of the Word with such respect and confidence.
God bless you all.
