Families,
Our 3rd-6th grade students were hard at work this week completing the Illinois Assessment of Readiness. This test consisted of 3 ELA/Reading assessments and 3 Math tests designed to measure a students' proficiency and growth from the previous year. Although we won't get the official results until the Summer, we encouraged our students to take their time and do their very best. All of our students in grades K-6th will take the NWEA MAP Assessment for the Spring Benchmark coming up in May. We look forward to sharing the results of that student for each individual student to demonstrate just how much they have grown this year!
On the last day of school on Friday May 23rd, we would like to invite all families in for our annual Student Showcase. This event begins at approximately 10:30 AM and is a great opportunity for you to visit your child's classroom to meet with them while they share evidence of their learning from throughout the year. Families are welcome to take their child with them following the Showcase by signing out with your child's teacher.
As we approach the end of the year, I want to again encourage you to write a brief message of appreciation to any of our amazing staff at OES.
