Biased Language SEL Lessons: Grades 5-8
This week, the targeted SEL lessons about biased language will come to a close in grades 5-8. Our students experienced a series of lessons led by the mental health providers and the classroom teachers to understand how words can hurt, help, and heal. Your child is now able to understand:
There are different ways we convey biased language
Examples of biased language (and how it is different from name-calling)
Why do people use biased language
The impact of biased language and what they can do about it
Please click HERE to view the flyers in our virtual backpack. Flyers are updated weekly, so please check back often so you won't miss any of the events going on in our community.
