Coaching Principles: Reciprocity
In a partnership, all partners benefit from the success, learning, and experience of others—everyone is rewarded by what each individual contributes (50).
-Knight, J. (2007) Instructional Coaching: A partnership approach to improving instruction. Thousand Oaks, CA: Corwin.
One of the best parts of being an instructional coach is that we get to learn alongside you. We believe that your knowledge and expertise is just as important as the knowledge and expertise we bring. It is through working, exploring, and learning together that our instruction can reach a higher level.
Almost there...
As we round the corner on the end of the year it is a good opportunity to take time to reflect. It has been a year of hard work, learning, and growth. We don't want to lose that in the haze of summer. Reflecting can be taking time to think on your own, responding to reflective questions, or having a conversation with a coach.
Whatever method you choose, make note of things you'd like to work on next year and know that the coaches will be here to support you.
Have a great summer!
