Basketball Camp
Please bring your own basketball and learn about shooting, dribbling, passing, defense strategy, offense scoring, and competitions in a fun and supportive environment.
Tommy started his basketball journey at St. Spyridon, progressing to Division 1 basketball before pursuing a professional career in Argentina. Meanwhile, Tiana started her basketball journey at St. Nicholas and continued to Division 1 basketball at Loyola University Chicago.

Forest Preserves of Cook County Fall Events
See the flyer above for events hosted by the Forest Preserves of Cook County at Dan Ryan Woods. Events include Open Nature Play Days, a skate party, a book swap, and archery instruction.
Oak Lawn Park District Intramural Athletics
The Oak Lawn Park District partners with Ridgeland School District 122 & Oak Lawn Hometown School District 123 to offer intramural basketball and volleyball leagues for boys and girls in grades 4-8. Their non-competitive recreation leagues are instructional with an emphasis on good sportsmanship and fundamentals. All practices and games will be held at local schools. Practices and games will be held on weekday evenings, but day and times will vary. Teams will typically be formed by the school. All players will receive a t-shirt and trophy. To avoid delaying the start of the league please be conscious of the registration deadline. There will be a $10 late fee assessed to anyone who registers after the deadline.
BPAC Meeting + Information
Join the Bilingual Parent Advisory Council (BPAC) at its first meeting on September 12 at the District Administrative Offices.
What is BPAC?
A Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee (BPAC):
- Represents the interests of EL students in TBE program(s), their parents/guardians, and community members.
- Ensures the district recognizes these community voices and acts to meet their needs.
- Advises and focuses on helping bilingual parents and community members better understand bilingual programming.
- Advocates for the academic needs of EL students in TBE.
What Does BPAC Do?
- Focuses on helping bilingual parents and community members better understand how bilingual programming works.
- Encourages involvement in the school district.
- They advocate for all Language Learners.
Dates for 2024-25 meetings:
- September 12 (RSVP HERE)
- November 14
- February 13
- April 10
Time & Location
All meetings will take place 6-7:30 pm at the D123 District Administrative Offices located at 4201 W. 93rd St. Oak Lawn.
Junior Spartans Basketball Tryouts
The Oak Lawn Junior Spartans Winter basketball program is for Oak Lawn area boys basketball players in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.
Tryouts and team formations will take place on Sunday, September 15th, from 7 – 8:30 pm in the school’s Main (Spartan) Gym.
There is also a makeup date on Wednesday, September 18, also from 7 – 8:30 pm in the same location.
The program cost will be $500 per player, including uniforms. Returning players will receive a $50 discount. Our teams will practice twice a week here at OLCHS and play games on the weekends.
