OJH 7th Grade Boys Basketball Wrap up Undefeated Season by Clinching COC Championship!
A massive congrats to Ozark Junior High's seventh grade boys basketball team for winning the COC championship after an undefeated season going 17-0! This is the highest title a junior high team can achieve! Congrats gentlemen on an amazing season! Go Tigers!
This week, OHS sophomore Josie Ray has been selected as an Athlete of the Week! Josie is a member of the OHS Poms Dance Team and is always pushing herself to improve, according to head coach Shawnna Wilson.
"I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with Josie," Wilson said. "She works diligently to improve her technique and grow as a dancer. Most days she works alongside her team here at OHS and then goes on to practice further with her studio team. This year she has done a great job of pushing herself in the weight room to get stronger as well. She found her voice as a team leader and pushes her teammates to be their best selves. I am proud of her work and improvement this year within her role on our team, her performance in her solo routine, and her performance academically. I look forward to seeing how she continues to grow over the next few years."
Congrats Josie!
This week, OHS senior Jace Whatley has been selected as an Athlete of the Week! Jace is a member of the Ozark varsity boys basketball team and recently scored 16 points in Ozark's 69-58 victory against Willard.
Congrats Jace!
This week, senior Kimberly Frazon has been selected as our Artist of the Week! Kimberly is one of OHS's very talented members of the varsity color guard team and is an important leader of the team, according to head coach Theresa Walls said.
"Kimberly has played a huge role in our varsity winter guard team," Walls said. "Her talent, leadership and attitude are all contributing factors to the success of the team. Kimberly has a beautiful dance solo at the end of our routine, and has continued to push and grow in her individual skills while also helping her teammates."
Congrats Kimberly!
This week OHS senior Parker Bryant has been selected as our Tiger of the Week! Parker is a member of Ozark's theater department and was recently cast Detective Casey Neptune in OHS's spring play The "Alibis". She is a vital part of the the theater department, according to theater director Caraline Dawson.
"Parker is one of the rare actors who I actually have to pull back at times, which is the most amazing thing," Dawson said. "If every actor on stage gave as much as she does every time she walks on stage, our program would be unstoppable. She is just a joy to work with, watch perform, and is a leader in the theater department."
Congrats Parker!
