Message from the Superintendent
Dear RSU 57 Community,
As we bring this school year to a close, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude for all the remarkable achievements and milestones we have reached together. We have much to celebrate from the 2023-24 school year from State Championship sports teams, to a number of student scholars recognized regionally and nationally, to several staff members being recognized for their outstanding efforts in their field by state-wide organizations. There are many great things happening in RSU 57!
First and foremost, congratulations to the Class of 2024! Your hard work, dedication, and perseverance have led you to this momentous occasion. We wish you all the best as you embark on the next chapter of your lives. To the families and loved ones who have supported our graduates throughout their educational journey, thank you. Your encouragement and unwavering support have been instrumental in their success.
To our incredible staff, thank you for your tireless efforts this school year. From our custodians and facilities staff who keep our schools clean and safe, to our bus drivers who ensure our students arrive safely, to our administrative assistants who keep our operations running smoothly, to our nutrition staff who make sure our children’s stomachs are full, to our technology staff who support the work of all our departments, and to our teachers and Ed. Techs who inspire and educate our students every day – your dedication and hard work do not go unnoticed. We are grateful for each and every one of you.
To our students, as you head into summer, I encourage you to make good choices. Stay safe, and find ways to get involved in your community. Whether through sports, community organizations, or simply connecting with neighbors and friends, remember the importance of community and the positive impact you can make.
This year marks the first year of our Strategic Plan, and I am pleased to report that we have made significant progress. Many of our action steps for this five-year plan have either been accomplished or are well on their way to completion. We are committed to continuing this momentum and ensuring that RSU 57 provides the best educational experience possible for our students and families.
Finally, thank you to our greater community for your continued support of our schools, our school budget, and our efforts to make RSU 57 the best educational community it can be. Your support is invaluable, and we look forward to working together to achieve even greater success in the future.
Wishing you all a wonderful and restful summer.
Warm Regards,
Stephen D. Marquis

Summer Learning Resources!
The RSU 57 Curriculum Department has put together some exciting and fun resources to help students retain the skills they gained this past school year, while ramping up their skills for next fall. Provided at the link below is information on how to access the many resources purchased by the district that provide reinforcement, practice and introduction of new skills in math and reading. These resources are available throughout the summer but students may lose access prior to school starting when the set-up for 2024-25 is processed.
