Bookit from PizzaHut
A free reading incentive program for PreK-6th grade classrooms, parents and homeschool families. Since 1984, the Pizza Hut BOOK IT! Program has been dedicated to encouraging reading in schools nationwide. And we know that to make a difference, you really have to Read Your Heart Out®.
BookIT (During the School Year) Each program year from October to March, teachers set monthly reading goals for the students in their class. Number of minutes, number of pages or number of books – they all work! Also, parents can read with kids not yet reading independently. When a student reaches their monthly reading goal, the teacher rewards the student with a Reading Award Certificate for a free, one-topping Personal Pan Pizza® from Pizza Hut®. Students may earn a total of 6 Reading Award Certificates each program year.
PROGRAM DATES: JUNE - AUGUST
Camp BOOK IT! is open to all families with PreK-6th grade students (ages 4-12). Parents set goals, track reading and reward their students, all in our digital dashboard.
NY Summer Reading
Summer Reading programs advance literacy and academic performance by engaging children and teens in reading during summer months. They also work to foster a love of reading through public library programs and services and increase successful reading experiences through librarian-supported, self-selected, voluntary reading. Libraries across the state offer Summer Reading Programs (SRP) to support literacy development in New York communities by encouraging reading and engaging communities through activities.

Watch edWeb's AI in Education: Steering Towards Equity and Empowerment where they addressed the pressing challenge of identifying and mitigating biases that may be embedded in AI algorithms and how education leaders can help ensure that digital learning solutions serve to support equitable educational outcomes.
