Hanukkah
This year, Hanukkah begins in the evening of Thursday, December 7th and ends in the evening of Friday, December 15th.
A Few Fun Facts:
- The word "Hanukkah" comes from the Hebrew word "Hinuch," or "to teach. The most common usage of the Hebrew word ‘Hanukkah’ literally means “dedication" and the holiday's origin is a celebration of the rededication of the ancient temple in Jerusalem.
The dreidel is a top with four sides used as a learning tool to teach the children the story of the Maccabees and the "miracle of oil" that lasted for eight days. "Nes Gadol Haya Sham" = A Great Miracle Happened There.
Jimmy Carter was the first U.S. president to celebrate Hanukkah in 1979. Every president since has recognized Hanukkah with a special menorah-lighting ceremony. George W. Bush was the first president to host a Hanukkah party in the White House.

Donations
KEYSTONE GREEN DONATION BIN
Keystone Green collects clothes and shoes from the collection bin on a monthly basis. Donations are then sent to local nonprofits and the balance is sent and reused in developing countries.
By donating to Keystone Green your used clothes stay out of landfills.
Help protect the planet and raise money for our school! Please bag or box all donations and place them inside the bin.
Look for the red collection bin on the left side of the school near the loading dock.
Lost and Found
Our Tables are piling up!😄
We currently have a large amount of lost and found items in the cafeteria. Please have your student stop by and see if anything belongs to them or you may call the office if you would like to schedule a time to take a look for missing items.
We will be donating everything to our Keystone Green bin out by the loading docks before we close over winter break. Nothing will be saved after December 22nd.
