Hello Covington Community!

Well, we finally made it! Next week marks the last week of the school year, and what a journey it has been. To those parents whose students will be leaving Covington to embark on new adventures in high school, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for entrusting us with your children. We're certain they have wonderful things ahead of them.

To those parents who will be returning to Covington next year, thank you for choosing and trusting us. Together, we will continue to grow and improve, creating the best possible environment for our students to thrive.

We sincerely appreciate your continued support. To enhance communication, I'll be sending out weekly reminders of policies and procedures during the summer. Please review these with your child to ensure they are prepared for the new school year in August.

Additionally, we will have our final Coffee with the Principal and CAC meeting on Wednesday, May 22nd. Please come out and join us as we review the year and plan for the new one.

Wishing you all a safe and relaxing summer break. We can't wait to kick off the next school year together!

8th Grade Parents!

We are thrilled to invite you to join us for the highly anticipated 8th Grade Promotion Celebration on May 23rd at 2:00 PM! This special event is a momentous occasion to celebrate the accomplishments and milestones of our students as they transition to high school.

To ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience for you and your family, we strongly encourage pre-registration for the event. By pre-registering, you drastically reduce the amount of time you have to wait to enter into the theater! Registration will close on May 22nd, so don't miss out on this opportunity.

Please note that no balloons are allowed in the theater to ensure the safety and comfort of all attendees. We kindly ask for your cooperation in adhering to this policy.

Additionally, we kindly request that you limit the number of individuals you bring to the celebration. Our goal is to provide seating for all parents and ensure that everyone has a chance to see the event.

Join us as we celebrate the achievements of our 8th graders and send them off to high school with pride and excitement! We look forward to seeing you there and sharing this memorable moment together.

Austin High Orchestra Summer Camp for All Students

When: August 5 through August 9, 9 am to 12 pm
Where: Austin High School, Orchestra Room (east side entrance)
Cost: $40, to cover snacks, supplies, and instructors

Our annual summer camp is a wonderful opportunity for students—especially new students—to bond, learn new music for fall concerts and competitions, work with private instructors by section, get measured for performance uniforms, play games, have fun, and more!

If your student has put Orchestra on their choice sheet, please make every effort to have them attend so they won’t be behind when the school year starts.

We open our Colt Store every Friday during lunch so that students can purchase items using Colt Cash they have earned from their teachers for great behavior and academic progress.

Hi everyone! We’re almost to our goal to making an amazing sensory room at Covington!! I am Trisha Franke a life skills teacher at Covington and am reaching out as we're trying to build the best sensory room for our special needs students! We have some intense sensory needs and I'd love to provide a room where students are able to get the sensory input they need, have a safe place for behaviors and a cool down area. Your donations will help bring happiness and tranquility to students who need it the most!
