Weekly Athletics Update
Another great weekend in the books for East Troy Athletics this past weekend. As someone told me yesterday, "It was a great weekend to be a Trojan."
Girls basketball won both regional games to take the regional title on Saturday night over Columbus. This past Thursday night they took on Laconia at Whitewater with a 7 PM. The girls lost the game, but should be proud of their overall season. Thanks to the students who supported the girls at the game, including the Pep Band who sounded amazing during the game.
At the state wrestling tournament last weekend, we had 3 wrestlers participate. Freshman, Owen Feucht, won his first round match before bowing out in the tournament early Friday. Sophomore, Landen Bogard, fought hard and finished on the podium in 6th place. Junior, Brady Collins, made it to the finals and finished as a state runner up! In his three years in high school so far, Brady has finished 3rd at state as a Freshman, 6th as a Sophomore, and now 2nd as a Junior. Way to go boys!!!!
Last, but not least, our boys basketball team ended their season on Tuesday night at Watertown Luther Prep starting at 7 PM. Congratulations to the boys basketball team on a nice season.
One last reminder to anyone interested in playing a spring sport to sign up using the QR code outside Mr. O'Leary's office so we can ensure all practice permits are ready for the start of spring seasons. Track practice starts Monday already!!!!!!
Thanks,
Brian O'Leary (Athletic Director)
