Dalia Mansell had a great time representing Rye Neck at the HOSA International Leadership Conference in Nashville last week. She participated in the extemporaneous writing competition after taking first place at the state competition. She attended a “Race to the Remedy: Crack the Codes to Save the Patient!” workshop, learned to inject insulin at the “From Glucose to Greatness” workshop, and earned her “Stop the Bleed” certification. She also attended HOSA chapter officer training. Great job, Dalia!
Last week, students attended a Civics Fair at the White Plains Public Library that showcased Capstone projects, a component of the NYS Civic Seal of Readiness. Lizzy Mitchell, Abby Weidemann, and Katie Harvey (not pictured) presented their project about putting solar panels on Rye Neck’s MS/HS Campus to Congressman George Latimer and State Senator Shelley Mayor.
