Kids Reading Across RI 2023
Public libraries and youth serving organizations are invited to participate in the May 13 kickoff event at the State House. This will be the first year that we have had an in-person event since 2019! The event is scheduled for 2pm-4pm and set-up begins at 1pm. It's a great opportunity to promote your library and summer reading program to families from all over the state. In the past libraries have had tables with activities related to the summer reading theme or the KRARI book. Your activity may be a craft, a STEM demo, or an interactive exhibit. Check out photos from the 2019 event and please let us know if your library would like to participate
Promote the KRARI Kickoff!
Congratulations Chris!
Christine Wallace Goldstein was honored by her colleagues as Head of Youth Services at the Woonsocket Harris Public Library in appreciation of 25 years of dedication to building connections and enriching the lives of the youth in our community. A treasured librarian for generations of children, she was presented with a book-shaped plaque and a Hedwig owl cake. In a video montage highlighting many of the programs she offered throughout the years, co-workers and volunteers offered their good wishes and spoke of memorable moments shared with Chris.
