Homecoming FAQs:
When and Where is Hoco?
Homecoming is Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 8:00 - 11:00 p.m. at Allen High School. Attendees will enter through the PAC.
What should I wear? (What’s the dress code? Do my clothes have to be expensive?)
Homecoming is a traditional, semi-formal event. Most attendees wear suits or semi-formal type dresses., but you may wear what you’re comfortable in as long as it is semi-formal. No sweatpants, jeans with holes, or pajamas will be allowed.
How much are the tickets?
Tickets are $40 through Sept. 8th, $50 through Sept. 20th at 1:30 p.m., and $75 on the day of hoco.
When do I have to get tickets?
You can get tickets online from now until the event. If you purchase tickets at the door on the night of hoco, they will be $75. If you purchase before Sept. 9th, the price is $40, and from Sept. 9th - Sept. 20th at 1:30 p.m., the price is $50.
Where will I find my ticket?
Students who purchase a ticket through School Pay will receive a “sticker” on their Minga digital student ID on the afternoon of Friday, Sept. 20th. This sticker is your ticket to the dance. Students with out-of-district guests will check in with their guest through a separate line, and the out-of-district guest will receive a wristband before entering the dance.
Where do I purchase my tickets?
Tickets can be purchased until 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20th. After that time, tickets cannot be purchased until Saturday, Sept. 21st. Day-of Tickets can be purchased online or at the door for $75.
Do I have to bring a date/guest?
No.
Can I bring an out-of-district guest?
Yes. However, out-of-district guest tickets must be purchased by Wednesday, September 18th.
How do I bring an out-of-district guest?
You need to purchase an out-of-district guest ticket AND fill out the out-of-district guest form. The form is in the Student Council Instagram bio – @theahs_stuco, the Allen High School Homecoming Website, and there is also a link to this form when purchasing the out-of-district guest ticket. The out-of-district guest form is due by Wednesday, September 18th.
Are students from LFC allowed to attend?
It’s an AHS event, but an LFC student can attend as the guest of an AHS student, but they MUST complete the out-of-district form!
What are the age requirements for guests?
Guests must be enrolled in 9th-12th grade and no older than 20 years old.
Do I have to bring my student ID?
You will need your Minga digital student ID.
Does my guest need an ID?
Yes. If your guest is an AHS student, they must show their Minga digital student ID. Out-of-district guests must bring a current photo ID.
Do I have to dress in theme?
No, you do not.
Will there be food or drinks?
Yes. Complimentary snacks and drinks will be provided, but there will not be a formal, sit-down dinner.
Do I need to bring money?
No. Unless you want to purchase a ticket at the door, you will not need money. Tickets at the door will be $75.
If I leave Homecoming, may I just show my ticket to get back in?
No, there is no re-admittance if you choose to leave.

Service Academies Information Forum
Congressman Keith Self is hosting a Service Academies Information Forum Sept. 14 at 9:30 AM to learn about the application and nomination process. Representatives from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and the other federal service academies will be there to answer questions.
