Save the Date
- 5/13-17: Normal Bell Schedule
- 5/19: Graduation at 8:30 a.m.

Important AP Testing Reminders:
- Even though buses are running both weeks, students will need a ride to school, and must arrive at their testing location by 7:15.
- Afternoon exams often run past 3:45, so students need to arrange for a ride home, and should not rely on the bus.
-
Make arrangements to NOT bring your phone/smartwatch during exams. We will NOT hold devices for students while they are testing.
- Please plan to bring a sack lunch—you may not have time to get lunch from the Dining Hall.

**Special notice: Due to the increased number of students participating in a non-traditional school day, we will not be able to honor any special parking considerations for students involved in programs like Out of District, Dual Enrollment, IE2, Teaching as a Profession, athletics, band, internships, or any similar programs. We recognize this is a huge inconvenience, but there is no way to prioritize who would receive spaces and there simply are not enough spots to fill all needs.
Stress-busters for End of the Year
The end of the school year brings many celebrations, but it can also be a time that students and families are feeling the most rushed and busy. Here are a few ideas for proactively neutralizing the stress!
- Eating a healthy, balanced diet gives young bodies and minds the fuel they need to be their best. Try meal prepping for each week or try fresh, well-balanced prepared meals from local meal services and grocery stores.
- Getting regular exercise is important for a healthy body and mind. In addition to their regular exercise, a short, ten minute walk outside can help get a bit of extra activity in the day and clear their thoughts. Offer to take a walk with your child. It gives a great opportunity to spend a few minutes of quality time too.
- Breathing techniques provide a handy strategy that can be used anytime the stress level is rising. Print this handy guide to have available whenever you need it.
Final Exams - Plan Accordingly
With Final Exams approaching, we want to encourage everyone to not plan trips or events on final exam dates. Final exams can not be administered early, and any missed final exams must be made-up prior to the first day of the 24-25 school year (there will be no grade changes once the next school year has started). We have found that students are most successful taking their exams at the normally scheduled time and not during the summer. Information about exam exemptions will be shared in a future issue of the War Eagle News.
