Welcome to our new students and families
Dear Families,
I want to extend a warm welcome to all the new families joining us at Sacred Heart Catholic School this fall. We are excited to have you as part of our community and look forward to a wonderful journey together.
As of today, we welcome 37 new PreK-8th grade students which is 28 new families. I am happy to say that we have at least one new student in each grade this fall.
Thank you for choosing Sacred Heart. We are here to support you and your children every step of the way.
We have a designated room parent for each grade who will help you navigate throughout the year. Watch for an email within the week.
Best regards,
Karen Bursey

Meet our new 3 PreK Teacher--Ms. Heather Groenke
I have been teaching preschool for 15 years, the last five years at Holy Cross Catholic School. My love for working with young children started at a young age with baby sitting and teaching Sunday school when I was in high school. I also have a love of traveling. Because of that, I moved to Florida and earned my Early Childhood Education degree from Southwest Florida College. I've been back in Minnesota for about 12 years. I love to spend my time listening to music, watching movies, or being outside with friends and family.
Meet our new reading specialist--Mrs. Nancy McGrath
My name is Nancy McGrath and I am very excited to be joining Sacred Heart School this fall as the Reading Specialist. I have 20-plus years of experience as a teacher working in Catholic education. A vocation I have truly enjoyed every day.
My husband and I are members of the parish and live in Plymouth. We are the parents of 5 grown children and 5 grandchildren. (And yes, everything that is said about how wonderful it is to be a grandma is true!)
I like to garden and read, be outdoors, and most all spend time with my family. I look forward to meeting all of you and your children soon.
3 and 4 year old PreK Meet & Greet the teachers-August 13
We have planned a Bubble Party from 6:30-7:15 pm. Don't be late or you will miss the fun. The fun begins in the parking lot behind the school. Children will enjoy meeting other classmates in preschool and meeting the teachers. Parents may want to bring a lawn chair.

Ordering breakfast and lunch for September-ORDER NOW
We use a catering company, Trio Community Meals, to provide our breakfast and lunch meals for students. For the ease of ordering, we use a website called Boonli so that parents may pre-order breakfast and lunch meals for their children. We recommend you order meals for the entire month. Trio will only deliver the amount of meals that are pre-ordered each day.
Please log into Boonli-
https://sacredheart.boonli.com/login
School code--SH244
If you are a new family to Sacred Heart, please click on Create an Account. If you are a returning family, please use your log in information from last year. Please order no later than August 22 to make sure your child has a lunch on the first day of school.
Breakfast and lunch is free if your child is in K-8th grade.
PreK does not qualify for free breakfast and lunch. Our preschoolers may order lunch through Trio. They are not eligible for breakfast.
Milk comes with each meal. If you would like to order an additional milk or need a milk due to your child bringing a cold lunch, you may do so. Parents may also order an extra entrée or extra pizza slice for an additional fee.
The monthly menus will go “live” the 15th of the previous month so that you can order. We will remind families to order each month through the weekly school newsletter.
If your family qualifies for free/reduced lunch, please complete an application for us. We do receive some state funding that relies on the number of applications we receive.

Looking for golfers for the Brady Swenson Lucky 13 Annual Golf Tournament-October 5th
Brady Swenson was a former student at Sacred Heart Catholic School that was seriously hurt in a drunken driving accident before school about 4 years ago. The Swenson's started this fun golf tournament as a way to give back to the many families that supported their family after the accident.
Please consider golfing, donating a silent auction basket or donating to this wonderful event.
Athletic News-Coaches Needed 2024-2025
Attention Parents, Grandparents and former Coaches!
Sacred Heart is in need of coaches for girls basketball, softball and baseball.
Positions are volunteer and can be used towards your family volunteer hours. Not to mention forming long, lasting relationships with Sacred Heart parents and students!
The girls’ basketball season runs from the beginning of January into the 2nd week of March.
Softball and baseball run concurrently from the beginning of April until the end of May.
Grades 5-8 can participate so this is an excellent opportunity for someone with a child in those grades to be responsible for building their athletic confidence!

Need help paying for tuition?
MN Fundraising Initiative (MNFI) secures contracts with over 23 venues in the greater Twin Cities area including Target Field, Target Center, Canterbury, and US Bank to operate food and beverage concessions stands at their events.
MNFI organizes teams of volunteers from all over the state of MN and WI who work together to run these stands. In turn, MNFI receives donations from these venues. The donations are then used to award grants to families in local communities to allow youth to attend private school, such as Sacred Heart Catholic School and participate in enrichment activities they may not otherwise be able to enjoy. Checks are mailed directly to Sacred Heart in your name.
Many of our school families use this organization to help pay for tuition.
